Refund policy
This page explains how a refund works for a paid partner title. Creativity’s own catalogue is free, so there is nothing to refund there.
Who gives you the refund
For a paid partner title the seller is the partner named at checkout and on your invoice, so the refund comes from them: the payment was taken on their account and any refund is returned from it.
Creativity administers the request. You ask us, we deal with the partner, and we tell you the outcome. You do not have to contact the partner yourself.
The 14-day right to cancel
As a consumer you may cancel a rental or purchase within 14 days of paying, without giving a reason, provided you have not started watching. Before you paid, you confirmed that you wanted access to start straight away and that you understood starting playback ends this right; that confirmation is kept with your order.
Not started watching, within 14 days: tell us and you receive a full refund of the price you paid. Nothing else is required.
Started watching: the legal right to cancel has ended. We will still listen — see “When we would normally say no” below — but a refund is then a matter of goodwill from the seller, not an entitlement.
If something is wrong with what you bought
If a title will not play, plays broken, or is not what was described, that is a conformity problem and it is the seller’s to put right under Directive (EU) 2019/770 and, for UK buyers, the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Tell us: we will first try to fix the problem, and if we cannot within a reasonable time you may choose a price reduction or a full refund. These rights cannot be signed away and the 14-day limit above does not apply to them.
A problem caused by your own device, connection or software is not a fault in the title, though we will still help you get it playing.
How to ask for a refund
Use the refund request form linked from your library, or write to the contact address at the bottom of this page. Include your order reference — it is on your invoice.
We aim to acknowledge a request within two working days and to reach a decision within five. A refund goes back to the payment method you used, and normally reaches you within five to ten working days after that, depending on your bank.
When we would normally say no
We would normally decline where a title has been watched and there is nothing wrong with it, where a rental window has simply run out, or where refunds are being used as a way to watch titles repeatedly for free.
That is our operating position, not a limit on your rights. Where the law gives you a refund, you get one.
Creativity+ membership is separate
Creativity+ is a YouTube channel membership. YouTube takes the money and YouTube handles cancellations, refunds and chargebacks for it. We cannot refund a membership payment, and nothing on this page applies to one. Manage or cancel your membership on YouTube.
Chargebacks
If you raise a chargeback with your bank instead of asking us, the payment is reversed against the seller and we may suspend access to that title while it is decided. Please ask us first — it is faster, and it does not cost the filmmaker a chargeback fee on top.
Who you are dealing with
This policy is published by the trader named below and covers Creativity’s part in handling refunds. The seller of a paid title is the partner named on your invoice; it is their sale that is being refunded.
